UHF (Ultra High Frequency) RFID antennas are generally classified according to their range. In particular, UHF RFID antennas can be classified as Long Range, Mid Range or Short Range UHF antennas, depending on their ability to read and write data to RFID tags at different distances.
UHF Mid Range RFID antennas are designed to read and write data to RFID tags at an average distance, usually ranging from a few centimeters to several meters. UHF Mid Range RFID antennas have lower gain and sensitivity than UHF Long Range antennas, but are cheaper and easier to integrate into RFID systems.
UHF RFID antennas come in many different sizes and shapes, depending on the application needs. Furthermore, the effectiveness of UHF RFID antennas also depends on their polarization, which can be linear, circular or elliptical. Linear polarization is suitable for reading tags on flat objects, while circular or elliptical polarization is best suited for reading tags on three-dimensional objects.
UHF RFID antennas are often used in logistics, manufacturing, tracking and inventory management applications.
Choosing the right UHF RFID antenna depends on your specific application and RFID tag reading needs.
